HealingwithVets

Hello
My name is Keegan Smith. I am a former Navy FMF Corpsman, serving with the 2nd Marine Division and deploying with the infantry in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and Special Purpose-MAGTF-Crisis Response-Africa. I struggled when returning to civilian life with alcohol and anger, as many combat veterans do. I found my peace through the Bwiti teachings and the goddfather of all plants, Iboga. In doing so, I vowed to help others heal and provide aid and integration on the psychological battle space. As a veteran, and having had adverse childhood experiences, I personally understand trauma and its effects on not only the self, but the people we love the most and how self hatred plays into the psyche. Something my VA therapists could never really understand. I promise to serve you in my greatest capacity and provide the support you and your loved ones deserve. We are grateful for you, THANK YOU!
My Story
I am a husband and father of two girls. I went through a psychedelic healing journey after trying all the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I could take. I ate all the pills the VA gave me (over 7 prescriptions at one point).
I was unhappy and felt immense guilt of what I was putting my family through. I felt like a failure, I felt alone and not worthy of love. My cup was always empty, and I was unable to fill anyone else's.

After healing my psychological wounds, I quit my job and enrolled in a certification program for psychedelic therapy integration, specializing in somatic’s and trauma, and spiritual emergency, in hopes to provide the best and most up to date education and integration techniques for my community, or anyone interested. I am committed to learning and staying up to date on harm reduction protocols and the potential risks involved, but also committed to the ancient teachings that the sacred tool have provided, that have been passed along through tribal Shamans and healers for generations.
